Both NFL legend Troy Aikman and Catherine Capa Mooty were single parents when they met in 2016. The quarterback was previously married to Rhonda Worthey, with whom he has two kids, while the Dallas native also has two children from a previous marriage.
Many fans noticed that after meeting Mooty, the Fox commentator has become more vocal about his family life. In fact, Aikman’s pride in his kids is oftentimes displayed on his Instagram account. In March 2021, he shared a snap of him and his daughter during her senior trip, and days before that, he posted a photo of his son running.
Ben Roethlisberger – Ashley Harlan
Pittsburgh Steelers long-time quarterback Ben Roethlisberger used to be known for his party-going ways before he met Ashley Harlan. Big Ben has her brother to thank as he was instrumental in their introduction in 2005. Soon after, they began dating, but things weren’t perfect as he was accused of assault on several occasions.
Harlan stood by his side despite the issues and got married in 2011. However, their marriage was rocked anew when Roethlisberger suffered an injury in 2019 that forced him to sit the bench. In a 2020 documentary, the wife revealed that it took a toll on their relationship.
Russell Wilson – Ciara
In February 2021, couple Russell Wilson and Ciara opened up about how their marriage works. The singer praised how she admires her husband’s fatherhood while the athlete talked about how being a step-parent to the hitmaker’s son Future from a previous relationship is a blessing.
The lovely pair met in 2015, just after Ciara ended things with her ex-fiance, and just a month later, they made it official when they appeared in the White House together. It didn’t take long for Wilson to pop the question and four months later, they exchanged I Do’s.

Tony is also a celebrated television news reporter, and he met Harris while working at rival television stations in Minneapolis and got married in 2003. Despite being held up in their occupations, their bond has grown significantly over the years, and it’s always good seeing them together.

Tulsi Gabbard, the former U.S. Representative from Hawaii, has a partner who has been her rock throughout her political career. Her husband, Abraham Williams, is a freelance cinematographer who has been by her side for over a decade. The couple met in 2012 and got married three years later. Since then, they have become inseparable, supporting each other through personal and professional challenges.
